What does the word significant mean? 

What does a significant place mean?

Firstly, to start off this blog post, I highly believe that the word "significant" means something important, meaningful, worthy of attention, or has a huge impact on something or someone. The word "significant" can be used to describe events, achievements, or personal experiences, or could hold a special value to something you like in general. 

A significant place refers to a location that holds great importance or significance. It could be a place that has historical, cultural, or important value. For example, a significant place is Glen Innes as it is considered a significant place due to its diverse community of New Zealanders and people across the world.

What is a place that is significant to me and why?

Personally speaking, a significant place to me currently is Tamaki College. Over the past two years, Tamaki College has taught me numerous subjects by helping me gain enough knowledge and strength when cooperating with my learning. Tamaki College has been a real stepping-stone for my future as it's going to play a crucial role in my career preparing me for my future. Tamaki College has helped me build a well-going relationship with my learning and peers, furthermore, helping me build a relationship with my education and the school itself. Tamaki College is currently pushing me to the point where I'm currently learning and preparing for my future by helping me prepare for exams, assessments & assignments, which will eventually help me succeed in the future.

Another place that is significant to me is Glen Innes. Glen Innes is significant because it's a diverse community where people from all around the world stay, holding a special meaning by creating a significant place for myself and my family, amongst others who live in the local area. Glen Innes is a suburb in East Auckland where some were raised and born. Although, with Glen Innes just being a diverse community, Glen Innes is significant because it offers a wide range of supermarkets, dairies & cultural areas such as Te Oro which people visit on a daily basis. Glen Innes offers a wide range of transportation to other parts of Auckland using various types of transportation methods such as trains and buses which provide easy access to other parts of Auckland.

Literacy Planet

Over the past few weeks, we have been using Literacy Planet. This app gives you better knowledge & education. Not only does this app give you better knowledge & education but it also helps with your reading, maths, grammar, punctuation, metaphors, nouns & others.

There are a lot of cool features on this app, such as, editing your avatar, doing missions, opening chests, and getting gem points, arcade games & more. Feel free to leave a positive comment. Enjoy

Puberty Talk

Today, Robbie and Charlie from ATTITUDE came to talk with us (intermediate boys) about our attitude, basically meaning our puberty, how we're gonna change, what's gonna happen to our bodies. They made many points which made us feel more confident and positive about our ourselves including our bodies. 

They also gave helpful tips and advice to us, such as, being confident with your body, the changes in your system that you will adapt, preparing for the future, what's gonna happen when puberty hits & more. These tips that they gave to us was really helpful, as it helps us boys get prepared for the future.

Overall, This puberty talk helped a lot of people be more confident with their bodies.

Literacy Planet -

 

This is what me and my class has been doing for the past 2 week, this app is called Literacy Planet. This app gives you better knowledge, education and more. This app helps you with, reading, maths, punctuation, grammar, metaphors, nouns & other kinds of educational learning. 

Our class is doing a competition to see who gets the most points, and I'm doing kinda decent. Our class can get very competitive towards competitions.

Ki te aha? (What for?)

 

This is this week's Te Reo assignment. "Ki te aha?" is the main question for this task.  In English Translation, "Ki te aha?" means "What for?". This task was simple and easy.

This is one of my last maths task for this 17 math's challenge. In this task I learnt about Tally Charts. Tally Charts are really easy to understand and complete. Welcome to my 17 math assignment challenge, or welcome back. If you've been here before, you've seen all of the other math activities I've been posting. Anyway, this is the 17th's second-to-last math activity!

The topic of this math activity is 'Stem & Leaf.' For some, including myself, stem and leaf can be quite tough and complicated. I was lost and didn't want to do Stem & Leaf, but now I know how to create, collect, and use Stem and Leaf properly.

Welcome or Welcome back to my daily math's challenge. If you're confused, basically our teacher put out a challenge for my class to do, and it was to finish all 17 task's before Friday Morning.

Anyways, This was one of the activity/task from the 17 of bunch that I chose. This is about 'Prime and Composite' This task was difficult, but I was able to list some things down about what I know.

Hello! Welcome back to my math's activity challenge. This is another math's activity challenge out of the 17 math's activities that I have to complete. For this one, I chose to do a Strip Graph. I was really confused at the start, then read the instructions and made my way through. Enjoy

Dot Plot

Yet again, another maths task from the 17 maths task challenge. In this task I learnt about Dot Plot. I saw some similes between Dot Plot & Median. I saw that in this task there was a fair few bits of Medians & Ranges. This task wasn't that difficult but was okay at the same time. Enjoy.

If you're wondering "Why is this person posting so many maths task" well this is because our teacher put out a maths challenge! and that maths challenge was to finish all 17 maths activities before Friday morning. This week, we had another maths task to complete with our own choice. This week, I decided to do a pie graph. This task was actually quite enjoyable. I liked how this pie graph taught me something and how I put more thinking into this work.
