Picnic Explantion:

Point England School & Parent helpers go to The Point England beach for a picnic 2-3 times a year.

We go to the picnic to have fun and take a break from work in class.

Your parents can come to the picnic to get to know your teachers or your friends or they can just hang out with you for the day to keep you safe.

Point England clothing is not tolerated into the water. (Your teachers will get mad if they see you in red and black in the water) The salt water can ruin your uniforms.

We go to the picnic to have fun and bond with friends, or go to the picnic to take a break from work in school. If you want to swim you have to bring your swimming togs and a towel.

Number Bonds: Maths

Find the 2 numbers that bond together to make a tidy number (multiple of 10) then add on the remaining number.

e.g. 6 + 7 + 4 = ?

(6 + 4) = 10

10 + 7 = 17

77 + 5 + 3 =

77 + 3 = 80

80 + 5 = 85

4 + 6 + 3 = 13

29 + 1 + 4 = 34

9 + 4 + 1 = 14

5 + 68 + 2 = 75

13 + 4 + 7 = 24

1 + 6 + 89 = 96

18 + 6 + 2 = 26

27 + 7 + 3 = 37

5 + 7 + 15 = 27

6 + 5 + 34 = 45

3 + 19 + 1 = 23

85 + 5 +8 = 98

8 + 4 + 12 = 24

3 + 2 + 78 = 83

17 + 3 + 7 = 27

Early finishers.

Choose 2 equations, 1 from each column. Make up a story to match. Write it and illustrate it in a slideshow. Show how you solved them also. Publish.

Sentence Starters

Kia ora.

I'm not in Mrs Tele'a literacy class, but for week 3  I am because we have to stay in our classes for level 2. Today we had to do some slides for Sentence Starters. The main focus is to use an interesting beginning, to try and write complex sentences. In the yellow box there would already be a word there like 'carefully' now every yellow box with the words in it, always starts with a 'ly, ed. When we are done we have to share it on our blog.
